Hershey loses to rival Wilkes Barre/Scranton Friday, 4-1

The Hershey Bears had their ninth straight loss last night against the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins. The first period opened up with Hershey getting on the board first with a deflected goal from Riley Barber at 6:22 in the game. A power play goal would tie up the game at 17:59 in the first when Andrey Pedan finds the back of the net beating Pheonix Copley with a quick shot from the left face off circle.

The game remained tied 1-1 going into period three, but that wouldn’t last long. Andrey Pedan would get his second goal of the game, and seventh of the season at 5:34. After what would become the game winning goal, Kevin Czuczman, would widen the gap at 11:40 in the period giving Wilkes Barre/Scranton a 3-1 lead. At 17:44 Jarrett Burton would score an empty netter to end the game at 4-1. The shot clocked stopped at an even 26 for the night. 

The Bears record now stands at 17-22-3-4. The Hershey Bears will host back to back home games to the Charlotte Checkers this weekend at Hershey Giant Center. Saturday’s game is a normal 7pm puck drop, while Sunday’s game will be three hours early starting at 2pm, so fans can be home in time for the NFL Super Bowl!
