Today’s game kicks off the final month of the regular season for the Bears. Hershey has a three game stretch north of the border, and just seven games remaining in the 76 game season.
The Bears the last time out needed four points and grabbed all four points. Hershey took the Saturday night affair from the visiting Providence Bruins, before going on the road against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Sunday afternoon. Bridgeport going into that game on Sunday had a twelve game winning streak on Sundays. They just about made it lucky thirteen, but Vitek Vanacek said “no way”.
Hershey’s magic number to make the AHL Calder Cup playoffs is down to eight points. That could drop to six today starting at 11 AM.
