Marymount University scored four first-half goals and defeated the Goucher College women’s soccer team 6-0 on Sept. 30 in Baltimore, Maryland, in Goucher College’s final non-conference match of the season.
Marymount Builds Four-Goal Halftime Lead
Eleanor Keough scored in the eighth and 16th minutes to give Marymount a 2-0 lead. Arianna Blanco scored in the 19th minute, and Khloe Hoda added a goal in the 25th minute as the Saints took a 4-0 advantage into halftime.
Goucher goalkeeper Nia George made three saves during a two-minute span, including back-to-back stops in the 28th minute. She added another save in the 36th minute and finished the match with seven saves while playing all 90 minutes.
Goucher Records Two Shots
Marymount added second-half goals from Ellie White in the 51st minute and Ila Senior in the 53rd minute. The Saints held Goucher scoreless over the remainder of the match.
Goucher recorded two shots, both on goal. Brianna Wilson and Abby Lee each recorded one shot on goal, while Marymount finished with a 23-2 advantage in shots and an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
Keough recorded five shots and scored twice for Marymount. Blanco added two assists and scored one goal.
Goucher Scheduled to Visit Scranton
Goucher was scheduled to travel to Scranton for a 4 p.m. match Saturday, Oct. 3.

Marymount controlled the match from the opening half, taking a 4-0 lead before adding two more goals shortly after halftime. George’s seven saves limited the Saints’ scoring opportunities at times, but Marymount finished with a decisive advantage in shots and corner kicks.
