Goucher College men’s swimming fell to Juniata College 187-46 Friday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2026, in Huntingdon, Pa., as Seleem Hamdy won two individual events for Goucher College. Hamdy won the 100-yard butterfly in 59.11 seconds, setting a pool record, and also won the 50-yard butterfly in 27.32 seconds.
Hamdy added a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.59. Goucher College opened the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as Jack Wisotzkey, Hamdy, Josh Contreras and Tallinn Loberg finished in 2:06.83.
Relay and Individual Event Highlights
Loberg later placed third in the 50-yard backstroke in 45.49. Wisotzkey finished third in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.05, while Contreras and Loberg placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Wisotzkey also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.65, finishing less than one second behind first place. Contreras placed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:06.66 and third in the 50-yard butterfly in 29.59.
Olivia Barnes Adds Three Freestyle Times
Olivia Barnes placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:42.08 during her first race of the season. She also recorded times of 1:10.28 in the 100-yard freestyle and 6:06.93 in the 400-yard freestyle.
Goucher College Men’s Swimming Returns Oct. 23
Goucher College returns to competition Saturday, Oct. 23, against Immaculata and Elizabethtown at Immaculata University. The meet will be Goucher College’s next competition after its performance against Juniata College.
