Game Preview : JHU VS GETTYSBURG
On Wednesday January 31st, 2018. The Johns Hopkins Women Basketball team would take on Gettysburg, in Gettysburg PA.
This is going to be a tough game for the Blue Jays. Although, the Blue Jays would be looking forward to build on their current form of losing just one game in their last eight matches. That loss came against Muhlenberg, the strongest team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association division 111 championship.
The JHU women’s basketball team are currently on a good run of three consecutive victories against Dickson (54-72), McDaniel (47-57) and Ursinus (70-51). The Blue Jays will be banking on the good form of Lillian Scott, Madison Mcgrath, Sophia Way and Rory Cole. The quartet finished with double figures in their last game against Ursinus, the second time this season where four players from the team in a single game are able to finish with double figures.
The Verdict
Against Gettysburg College who are currently on a six game winning streak, a victory for JHU is highly unlikely to occur. The Bullets have also lost just one of their last twelve games. In the Centennial conference, Gettysburg have a record of 12-1 and are 16-2 overall and are the second strongest team in the conference.
Just like when JHU lost to Muhlenburg while being on a four game winning streak, this will likely be the same against Gettysburg College
In addition, earlier in the season Gettysburg College won The Blue Jays (73-63) at the Goldfarb Gym and would be hoping to do the double against JHU this season when both sides clash on Wednesday Night.
