Frostburg State University Women’s Soccer defeated Charleston (WV) 2-1 on September 27, 2026, in Frostburg, Maryland, after Cassidy Paige scored the winning goal with just over five minutes remaining. The victory improved Frostburg State to 6-2-1, while Charleston fell to 3-4-2.
Frostburg State led 1-0 at halftime after Mollie Rebuck scored on an assist from Paige. Abigail Harrison brought Charleston level in the second half before Paige scored the decisive goal.

Paige nearly opened the scoring after 20 seconds when her attempt from the far side struck the crossbar. Four minutes later, she pressured a Charleston error and found Rebuck in the box, where Rebuck finished past goalkeeper Ines Degli Esposti.

With just over five minutes remaining, Rayiah Davis carried the ball forward and passed to Kelly Dougherty on the left wing. Dougherty set up Paige inside the box, and Paige finished for the 2-1 lead, with Davis and Dougherty credited with assists.
Frostburg State Holds the Shot Advantage
Frostburg State finished with a 16-3 advantage in shots and held a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. Hinton recorded multiple shots, while Pettyjohn, Ana Davis and Fernandez also produced chances for the Bobcats.
Li-Lou Debaecker recorded a shot and a free-kick attempt for Charleston. Degli Esposti made saves on multiple Frostburg State chances, but the Bobcats scored twice to secure the victory.
