The Frostburg State University men’s football team lost at Concord, 41-31, on Oct. 3, 2026, in Athens, W. Va. Frostburg State took a 31-27 lead at the start of the fourth quarter, but Concord scored twice afterward to secure the Mountain East victory.
Brooks Leads Frostburg State Offense
Jordan Brooks completed 22 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns for Frostburg State. Tra’Shaun Timmons made seven catches for 129 yards and one touchdown, while Rainer Halveland recorded 14 tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Frostburg State Takes Fourth-Quarter Lead
Concord led 24-18 at halftime before Frostburg State moved in front in the final quarter. Brooks connected with Caleb Barnes for a 15-yard touchdown to give Frostburg State a 31-27 advantage.
Concord answered with a touchdown to regain the lead, then added another score on a pass from Devin Kargman to Ethan Jackson with just over four minutes remaining. Brooks later connected with Timmons for a 31-yard gain, but Bradley Harris intercepted Brooks with three minutes left.
Frostburg State had another opportunity when Halveland forced a sack fumble that was recovered by Kurt Thomas. Concord then forced a sack fumble of its own and ran out the clock to complete the victory.
Frostburg State Record and Next Game
The loss moved Frostburg State to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Concord improved to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the Mountain East.
Frostburg State will play at Glenville State on Oct. 10, 2026, at 1 p.m.
