Jordan Brooks and Ray Adames Lead Frostburg State Offense

Frostburg State opened the second half with an eight-and-a-half-minute drive that ended with KJ Smothers scoring on a one-yard touchdown run. The Bobcats then added a safety before Brooks connected with Adames for a 31-yard touchdown, cutting the deficit to 28-19 after three quarters.
Shepherd answered with a five-yard touchdown pass from Michael Hardyway to Carrington Nickens-Yzer, making the score 34-19. Frostburg State later scored on Adames’ second touchdown, but Shepherd converted a fourth down late in the game to secure the victory.
Frostburg State Defense Records Key Tackles
Amari Johnson led Frostburg State with six tackles, while Tristin Forby recorded five tackles. Shepherd’s D’Myo Hunter intercepted a Brooks pass and returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown.
Frostburg State totaled 377 yards, including 313 passing yards and 64 rushing yards. Shepherd finished with 218 total yards, including 91 passing yards and 127 rushing yards.
