The Frostburg State University Bobcats women’s volleyball team split two matches at the Slippery Rock Tournament on Sept. 12, 2026, as Pia White earned All-Tournament team honors. Frostburg State lost to Bloomsburg, 3-1, before defeating Roberts Wesleyan, 3-1, in Slippery Rock, Pa. The Bobcats entered Mountain East Conference play with a 3-7 record.
Loss to Bloomsburg
Bloomsburg defeated the Bobcats, 3-1, with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-22 and 25-23. Alliyah McNair led FSU with 12 kills, Miranda Ball recorded eight digs, and White contributed two aces and 16 assists. Maya Johnson added three blocks against Bloomsburg. The Bobcats took the second set before Bloomsburg secured the third and fourth sets.
Victory Over Roberts Wesleyan
Frostburg State defeated Roberts Wesleyan, 3-1, with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16 and 25-13. Johnson led with 12 kills, McNair added 11, and Grace Yocham finished with 10. Ball led all players with 15 digs, while White and Emery Kuebler combined for 34 assists. Raegan Philips recorded five blocks and Judy Steffens posted four aces, both career highs.
White was named to the Slippery Rock Tournament All-Tournament team. The Bobcats were scheduled to begin Mountain East Conference play against Concord on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at Bobcat Arena.
