Frostburg State University Athletics Women’s Volleyball defeated Shaw, 3-0, before losing to host Shepherd, 3-0, at the Shepherd Invitational in Shepherdstown, W. Va., on Aug. 29, 2026. Alliyah McNair led Frostburg State Volleyball with seven kills against Shaw and combined with Maya Johnson for 15 kills against Shepherd.
Frostburg State University Athletics Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Shaw
Frostburg State Volleyball won the opening set against Shaw, 25-21, before taking the second and third sets, 25-13 and 25-14. Frostburg State hit .118 in the match, while Shaw finished at -.093.
McNair led Frostburg State with seven kills. Grace Yocham and Gabrielle Morris recorded four blocks apiece, while Miranda Ball posted a match-high 16 digs.
Shepherd Sweeps Frostburg State
Shepherd won the second match, 25-13, 25-13 and 25-15. Shepherd hit .427 against Frostburg State, which recorded a .115 hitting percentage.
McNair and Johnson combined for 15 kills to lead the Frostburg State attack. Pia White and Emery Kuebler recorded 22 assists combined, while Ball added 13 digs.
Frostburg State Women’s Volleyball Schedule
Frostburg State University Athletics Women’s Volleyball finished its opening weekend with a 2-2 record. The team was scheduled to host the Bobcat Invitational beginning Sept. 4, 2026, with a match against Pitt-Johnstown at 1 p.m.
