Friday Night: Mystics look to refocus against Liberty
After a tough loss to start the second half of the season. The Mystics are back at the Entertainment Sports Arena once again as the New York Liberty are in town.
The Keys to Victory!
How you start vs How you finish
The Mystics must be better at playing a full forty minutes. That didn’t happen in the loss against Indiana. While the energy was great on both sides. Finishing on both ends is going to be key, especially against a front court that features Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones.
With Four Injuries how do adjust to what you have?
Let’s be real for a minute. Washington could’ve won the game against Indiana but, understand Washington is a ship that is listing on starboard and portside with a limited bench, and lack of a paint presence. It’s going to be interesting to watch how Washington matches up on the defensive side of the ball against New York. As the reigning number one ranked defense the Mystics need to get back on track. The last seven games they have allowed 89 points that is not Mystics basketball.
A five-game home streak for the Mystics was snapped but they are ready for the Liberty. The last two matchups Washington won the home opener, and New York won the second game before the injury bug occurred.
