Enddy Azocar earned the South Atlantic League Minor League Player of the Month honor for August after leading the league with a .365 batting average and 35 hits. The Frederick Keys outfielder also recorded nine doubles, scored 24 runs and ranked second in the league with 63 total bases and two triples.
The award came during Azocar27s first month with the Orioles organization. He joined the Frederick Keys on Aug. 3 after Baltimore acquired him at the MLB Trade Deadline as part of a trade for catcher Adley Rutschman.
Enddy Azocar Delivered Strong August for Frederick Keys
Azocar recorded 10 multi-hit performances during the month. He posted a career-high four hits against the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Aug. 19.
Azocar began his professional career in 2024 after signing with the Boston Red Sox on Jan. 15 as part of the organization27s international free-agent class. He played for the Salem Ridgeyaks before earning a promotion to High-A Greenville on May 26 of this year.
In 107 games during the 2026 campaign, Azocar has a .295 batting average, 21 home runs and 82 RBIs.
Frederick Keys Prepare for Postseason
The Frederick Keys are scheduled to conclude the regular season on the road against the Brooklyn Cyclones before postseason play begins Tuesday, Sept. 8. Frederick is scheduled to host Game 2 of the South Atlantic League North Division Championship series Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.
