Former Raven Alex Collins Passes Away

Former Ravens running back Alex Collins has reportedly passed away, he was 28.

Collins, a Florida native, play his college football at the University of Arkansas before being drafted in the fifth-round of the 2016 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks.

Collins would sign with the Ravens in 2017 after the Ravens suffered several injuries to the running back position. Collins would eventually be thrust into the starting role, and would go on to have a career year in 2017. Collins played in 15 games, rushing for 973 yards and six touchdowns. In two season with the Ravens Collins would rush for 1, 384 yards with with an average 4.2 yards per carry. Famous for his unique Irish Dance after scoring touchdowns, Collins would find the end zone 14 times as a Raven, 13 coming on the ground and adding one receiving touchdown.

Following his release by the Ravens before the start of the 2019 season, Collins would return to the Seahawks for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Collins last played for for the Memphis Showboats of the USFL this past season.
