The Shorebirds ended a 25-inning scoreless streak in the first inning when Carlos Sanchez hit a sacrifice fly. The RBI marked the first of Sanchez’s professional career and gave Delmarva a 1-0 lead.
Fredericksburg Takes the Lead

The Delmarva Shorebirds will seek a second consecutive win Saturday against the Fredericksburg Nationals. Collin McKinney is scheduled to make his home debut for Delmarva, while Marlon De La Cruz is scheduled to start for Fredericksburg.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Delmarva entered the game with a 43-81 overall record and a 20-38 record in the other listed split, while Fredericksburg entered at 73-50 overall and 27-30 in that split.
