D.C. United sent midfielder Caden Clark to Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for Seattle’s natural second-round selection in the 2028 MLS SuperDraft. The transaction was completed before the close of the MLS Secondary Transfer Window.
D.C. United could also receive up to $50,000 in conditional 2027 General Allocation Money if Clark remains on Seattle Sounders FC’s roster in 2027. The trade gives D.C. United a future draft selection while Clark moves to Seattle Sounders FC.
Caden Clark’s D.C. United Tenure
Clark joined D.C. United in August 2025, from CF Montréal, after spending two seasons with the Canadian club from 2024-2025. He made his D.C. United debut Sept. 20, 2025, against Inter Miami CF.
Clark made 11 appearances across two seasons with D.C. United before the trade.

Dr. Erkut Sogut, D.C. United’s managing director of soccer operations, thanked Clark for his time with the club and wished him well in Seattle.
