D.C. United secures points in three of last four games

D.C. United is still rebuilding but Wayne Rooney looks like he can lead this team in the right direction someday. Let’s catch up on how the Black and Red have done lately.

8/31 at New York City FC W 2-1

D.C. United finally won a road game against New York City FC on the final day of August at Red Bull Arena which actually isn’t the house that Jeter built. Oh well. Ola Kamara scored in the 24th minute to give United the 1-0 lead. Heber Araujo dos Santos tied it in the 27th minute. Steve Birnbaum gave the Black and Red the lead for good with the game winner in the 57th minute.

9/4 vs. Colorado Rapids 0-0

D.C. United played the Colorado Rapids tough and secured a point thanks to a scoreless draw.

9/10 at Real Salt Lake 0-0

Once again the Black and Red came away with a point.

9/13 at Sporting Kansas City L 3-0

This was one of those games you’d simply like to forget.

Next up D.C. United will host Inter Miami CF this Sunday at 5 p.m. from Audi Field. Sadly D.C. United is at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings and is already eliminated from playoff contention.
