D.C. United came from behind to draw Nashville SC 2-2 on Aug. 1, 2026, at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Tai Baribo scored the equalizing goal in the 77th minute, his 11th MLS goal of the season and fourth consecutive match with a goal.
Nashville SC took a 2-0 lead before halftime. Sam Surridge opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 32nd minute, and Abdul Shakur Mohammed added a goal in the 40th minute.
D.C. United Scores Twice After Halftime
D.C. United cut the deficit to one goal in the 56th minute when Silvan Hefti scored his first MLS goal and first goal for the club. Hefti’s goal marked the first of two second-half scores for the home team.
Louis Munteanu assisted Baribo’s equalizer in the 77th minute and created three chances for D.C. United. Andre Dozzell played all 90 minutes and maintained an 89.2% passing percentage.
D.C. United recorded 17 shots, seven shots on goal and eight corners while holding 39.2% possession. Nashville SC had 10 shots, two shots on goal and three corners with 60.8% possession.
