Connor Norby breaks the Baltimore Orioles’ Affiliate Franchise Record For Most Hits In A Season

The Baltimore Orioles’ 7th overall prospect has broken the record for most hits by a Baltimore Orioles’ affiliate in a season. The record was previously held by current Baltimore Orioles’ first baseman Ryan Mountcastle who had 162 hits in his 2019 IL MVP season. Norby broke the record by recording his fourth hit of the night on 9/21 against the Buffalo Bisons who is affiliated with Toronto Bluejays. Norby in the last three games has hit 2 grand slams and a two run home run. Although this is his recent success he has been hitting the ball pretty constantly this season in Triple A with the Norfolk Tides. In 135 games with the club Norby he has recorded 163 hits and is batting .284. with an OPS of .856. He also has 21 HRs on the season along with 91 RBIs this season. With the Triple A regular season coming to a close this week he will be a key piece at the plate and in the field for the Norfolk Tides entering the playoffs.
