Bright made his first Double-A appearance since late April. He retired the first 15 batters he faced, recording seven of his eight strikeouts during that span, before Elijah Green hit a solo home run in the sixth inning.

Bright retired the next three batters after Green’s home run and completed six innings. He was charged with the loss and is listed at 0-2. The Chesapeake Baysox are scheduled to begin a six-game series at FirstEnergy Stadium against the Reading Fightin Phils on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The Reading Fightin Phils are the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Chesapeake is scheduled to return to Prince George’s Stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 6:35 p.m. for a series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The Richmond Flying Squirrels are the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.

The Chesapeake Baysox received an outstanding start from Bright, who retired 15 consecutive batters and allowed only one run across six innings. Harrisburg’s pitching limited Chesapeake’s offense and protected the narrow lead.
