Celebrities Who are Cheering for the Capitals

It’s that time folks! Today is the day we are ALLCAPS and we begin our journey for a potential Stanley Cup championship for the first time in Washington D.C.

The Washington Capitals has built a great fan base and has grown onto some famous celebrities as well. For starter Baltimore Orioles coach Buck Showalter showed up today in a custom Capitals jersey showing his support of his neighboring cities team, and Baltimore’s Hockey team since the city doesn’t have a team.

The Capitals have a great list of famous people showing there support. DMV model Mia Khalifa has shown a lot of support of the Caps on twitter and Instagram.

The Caps have also gained fans such as Washington Redskin linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, Ed Sheeran, former Redskin Chris Baker, Washington Wizard Bradley Beal and Baltimore Raven Luke Bowanko, Mike Bordick, Pat Sajak and former Redskin coach and current NASCAR owner Joe Gibbs. Gibbs himself made a video wishing the Capitals good luck and making a bet with his NASCAR driver Kyle Bush.

And let’s not stop there the guys at Barstool sports have been great with the Caps all year. Barstool Nate, PFT Commenter and Big Cat are also diehard fans. Those guys have also convinced form Pittsburgh Penguin defensemen Ryan Whitney who’s a current podcaster for Spittin Chiclets to be a Capitals fan

Let’s also not forget that Selena Gomez is a Capitals fan. The pop star was rumored to have dated Tom Wilson after she broke up with Justin Beiber and slid into Wilson’s DM’s on Instagram after liking Wilson’s photos. Former Washington Capital and Tom Wilson’s best friend Micheal Latta said on Spittin Chiclets podcast that the rumor was true back in 2015.

And last how can we forget the biggest Capitals fan on the planet! We all know that Russian President Vladimir Putin is AllCaps this playoffs. With three Russians on the team and captain Ovechkin leading the way you know Ovechkin would bring the Stanley Cup to Putin.

Next we have the celebrities who are against the Capitals. We have one in our own backyard who is betraying the city of D.C. in Bryce Harper. Yes he is from the city of Vegas, but Bryce has always been a fan of the Caps until this year when the Golden Knights came of existence.

Bryce was a Caps fan for a while and now has turned his back to the city he plays for. For the next two weeks during the Stanley Cup Caps fans will turn his back to him. Hope he gets booed at home if he hits a home-run.

Next on the list we have Lil Jon, Carrot Top and the Simpsons. The Simpson’s made a prediction in 1999 that Vegas will have a team and win the Stanley Cup. They have also predicted Trump being the President, Super Bowl outcomes and the Chicago Cubs winning a World Series. Good news is they didn’t predict the year Vegas will win, so we still have a chance.

Imagine Dragons, Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars and the Blue Man group have also made appearances at the T-Mobile Arena this season showing support for the Golden Knights as well.

That’s fine if these people want the Caps to fail I like it I love being the underdog. The Baltimore Ravens where underdogs during the two years they won the Super Bowl, and the Philadelphia Eagles where known to be one this year. Go Caps
