Carly Brock’s Late Goal Secures 1-0 Win for McDaniel College Women’s Soccer at Muhlenberg

Carly Brock scored her third goal of the season in the 81st minute, leading the McDaniel College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 Centennial Conference road victory over the Muhlenberg Mules on Oct. 10, 2026, in Allentown.

The win extended McDaniel’s unbeaten streak to five matches and improved its record to 7-2-4 overall and 3-1-2 in conference play.

McDaniel dominated the shot count, holding a 21-10 advantage, and broke through on its 19th shot of the match, which was its 12th in the second half. Brock scored after the team’s fourth corner kick and second corner of the half, with Grace Duffey providing the assist.

Carly Brock Delivers Late Winner

All three of Brock’s goals this season have been game-winning tallies. She ranks second on the team with three goals and 10 points. Hariette Ngwatung led McDaniel with eight shots, while Brock and Alaina Miller added three shots each. The team totaled seven shots in the first half and 14 after halftime.

McDaniel Records Road Shutout

Goalkeeper Sierra Ruehl made three saves in the second half to record her sixth shutout of the season and seventh of her career. McDaniel earned its fifth consecutive series win in Allentown and improved its road record to 2-2-2.

McDaniel will travel to Washington College on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game against the Shorewomen.
