The Capitals stand at 32-19-7 and are currently in second place in the Metropolitan division. On the other side, the Sharks and stand at 34-17-7 and are currently in second place in the Pacific Division.

After that, forward Jakub Vrana scored his 18th goal of the season which was assisted by T.J. Oshie (18th assist of the season) and Nickolas Backstrom (41st assist of the season). Alex Ovechkin’s goal happened at 4 minutes and 14 seconds. Lastly, Tom Wilson scored his 15th goal which was unassisted at 17 minutes and 25 seconds during the third period.
With a win, the Capitals will head to Anaheim to face the Ducks on Sunday night at Honda Center.
