Capitals vs. Coyotes Preview: November 11, 2019
The Washington Capitals stick around at home for another day. They face the Arizona Coyotes back at Capital One Arena in a Veterans’ Day showdown. The Caps’ six game win streak is their twenty-sixth such streak since 2010, the most of any team. To put together a cohesive team, as Washington has been doing, is being put to the test again this season.
The Caps are 13-2-3 with 29 points, the most in the NHL by a wide margin. Boston trails by four points. They have points in all of their last seven games and many of their key pieces intact. Neither Carl Hagelin nor Travis Boyd is healthy to stand for the Caps tonight. However, Richard Panik returns to the team after a long injury, enhancing the third line. The Coyotes are decent as well. At 9-6-2 with 20 points, they sit just outside the last Wild Card. But their goaltending and fast style of play seem to be enough to keep them in contention. Both teams have something to play for, which should make tonight’s outing fun to watch.
