Capitals raise championship banner as they open the season against the Bruins
Game #1 10/3 Boston at Washington
TV: 730pm NBC Sports Network
Radio: Caps Radio 24/7
The Washington Capitals open up the season looking, well, just a little bit different. Notable departures of Jay Beagle, Alex Chiasson, Jakub Jerabek, Philipp Grubauer, and head coach Barry Trotz would make anyone just a little worried. Beagle however is the only starter the Capitals lost. Washington will carry the same lineup and roster from last season for starters.
The only change, will be on the fourth line. Who opens up the season as the fourth line center? Will Nic Dowd play the fourth line center role? Will Chandler Stephenson drop down to the fourth line center role opening up a wing spot for Nathan Walker or Jayson Megna? How the team looks on game one, will most likely be different then how the team looks game 15 as roster adjustments will need to be made.
