Can Capitals Win in Game 6?

The Washington Capitals have struggled the entire series against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fortunately for the Caps, they have preformed very well in game sixes in the 2018 post season. Both of the game sixes, they have won the series. These two wins were against the Blue Jackets, and their rivals Pittsburgh Penguins. Obviously, Washington can not win the series with this game six, but they can even up the series for a big game seven. Considering the Caps have played extremely well in game sixes this post season, they have a good shot at winning this one as well.

Even though Washington only had 28 shots, they scored six times. With the six goals, they won the game 6-3. They also played very physical defense with 21 hits and 23 blocks. Physical defense has worked for the Caps this post season as long as they stayed organized when the were. In games against Tampa Bay, it is obvious they the defense is scrambling around trying to find the puck. With the games that they have won, the defense has been organized and effective.

Game six against the Penguins, was an O.T. (overtime) win for Washington. the game ended at a score of 2-1. Washington in the series against the Bolts have not been disciplined. On offense in this game six the Caps put 30 shots on goal. Washington put chances into goals when they need to, but if they want to win this game six against Tampa Bay they are going to have to put up more than two goals with 30 shots on goal.
