Brooks Koepka repeats as U.S. Open Champion

Brooks Koepka shot a final round 68 en route to winning his second straight U.S. Open Championship. Shinnecock Hills played as one of the hardest U.S. Open’s in tour history. Tommy Fleetwood shot a final round 63 and came up one shot short of forcing a playoff.

The USGA was under fire the entire weekend as the course’s difficulty was brought into question. They decided to attempt to make the course more playable Sunday by slowing down the greens and placing the pins closer to the center of the green.

The next major championship is The Open Championship, July 19-22. The Open will be played at Carnoustie Golf Club in Scotland.
