Baltimore Ravens Free Agents: Restricted Free Agents

With the Baltimore Ravens season ending, it is time to look ahead to next year and which Ravens will leave us.

RFA (Restricted Free Agents)

The way this works is that the Ravens can assign one of 4 tenders to a player. A first round tender is 4.1M, a second is 2.9M, an original tender/low-level costs 1.9M.

Stanley Jean-Baptiste: A hero of the preseason who spent the regular season on the IR. With the depth at cornerback, he would need to provide great special teams value to make the team. Either way it would be good to sign him to a low tender in case of injury and for a chance to make the team.

Alex Collins: The former starter now is fighting for a tender. With Gus and Dixon on the team next year, even a low tender does not make sense. He will probably find another team to compete on, but his time is done in Baltimore.

Patrick Onwuasor: The former safety played very well this year, especially down the stretch with some clutch forced fumbles. The former UFA gets his first payday and if a team does outbid the Ravens, they would receive a 2nd rounder in return. The Ravens should start to attempt to lock him up for the future during the next season.

Michael Pierce: The former UFA has turned into an absolute beast, even outplaying Brandon Williams at times. The Ravens will give him a 2nd rounder. With the Ravens already invested in Williams it will be difficult to imagine keeping them in years to come.
