Allegany College of Maryland women’s soccer controls first half
Nevaeh Bunbasi opened the scoring 40 seconds into the match to give Allegany College of Maryland a 1-0 lead. Allie Knieriem doubled the advantage in the 31st minute, and the team carried a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Knieriem scored again in the 47th minute to make it 3-0. Garrett College answered 35 seconds later when Ava Hunt scored, trimming the deficit to 3-1.
Allegany adds four second-half goals
Briley Shoemaker scored in the 56th minute before Nevaeh Bunbasi added her second goal less than three minutes later. Knieriem completed her hat trick in the 73rd minute and scored again in the 89th minute, with Bunbasi providing the assist.
Knieriem led all scorers with four goals. Bunbasi finished with two goals and one assist, while Shoemaker added one goal as Allegany College of Maryland received goals from three players.
