Mount St. Mary’s University men’s water polo defeated Penn State Behrend 20-17 and Mercyhurst 24-8 on September 27, 2026, at the Laker Invite in Erie, Pennsylvania. The victories improved Mount St. Mary’s to 6-8 on the season.
Aleksandar Radosavljevic led Mount with 12 goals across the two games, scoring six against each opponent. Luka Urosevic added 10 goals, including four against Penn State Behrend and six against Mercyhurst.
Mount St. Mary’s University Rally Tops Penn State Behrend
Mount St. Mary’s and Penn State Behrend finished the first quarter tied 3-3. Penn State Behrend took a 9-7 lead into halftime, but Mount St. Mary’s scored eight goals in the third quarter to move ahead 15-13.
Radosavljevic scored three times in the third quarter, while Urosevic added two goals. Nathan Valentine, Will Matthews and Darrion Phelps also scored during the rally, and Mount St. Mary’s added five goals in the fourth quarter to secure the 20-17 victory.
Radosavljevic finished with six goals, followed by four from Urosevic and three from Matthews. Phelps scored twice, while Matias Miranda, Max Economy, Valentine, Aaron Tarr and Israel Bratton each scored once. Milan Miskolczi, Matthew Royer and Linc Smith received playing time in goal.
Mount St. Mary’s University Pulls Away From Mercyhurst
Mount St. Mary’s scored six first-quarter goals against Mercyhurst and led 6-2 after the opening period. The Mount carried a 12-4 advantage into halftime, then scored four goals in the third quarter and eight in the fourth to finish with a 24-8 win.
Radosavljevic and Urosevic each scored six goals. Jack Fox, Aaron Tarr and Giannis Skliras added two apiece, while Israel Bratton, Will Matthews, Darrion Phelps, Ivan Morales, Giacomo Graff and AJ Waldfogel scored once each.
Bratton, Morales and Waldfogel each scored their first goal of the season during the two games. Miskolczi served as the goalie against Mercyhurst and recorded a couple of assists.
Mount St. Mary’s University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
Mount St. Mary’s is scheduled to compete against Concordia University Irvine on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The team will then compete at the Gary Troyer Tournament on Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, with five games scheduled across the three days.
