The Washington Capitals had to squeak out a close 2-1 victory against the tough, up and coming Buffalo Sabres last night in DC. Now the Caps hit the road to take on an underperforming Ottawa Senators team at 15-17-4. Tonight’s battle is a war between the Capital of the USA in Washington, and the Capital of Canada in Ottawa.
Tonight the matchup is between a Washington team that is ranked number three in offense and eighteen in defense while the Ottawa Senators are ranked ninth offensively and thirty-first defensively. If the Caps can score early, DC may be able to explode offensively and cruise to a victory heading into the Christmas holiday.
