The Salisbury University women’s golf team won the team competition at The Melee on October 19, 2026, at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Williamsburg, Virginia, while Krista Brosius claimed the individual title. Salisbury finished with a two-round total of 114-over 690, 16 strokes ahead of the field.
Salisbury University Builds 16-Stroke Team Lead
Salisbury shot 47-over 335 in the final round, 20 strokes better than its official first-round total. Drew finished second in the team standings with a 706 total, while Shenandoah placed third at 708. Averett also had an individual golfer compete in the tournament.
Brosius closed with a 6-over 78 and finished at 13-over 157 for the tournament. She finished six strokes ahead of Averett’s Meredith Pegram and the rest of the 16-player individual field. The title marked Brosius’ second career individual championship, following her victory at the Sea Gull Invitational the previous April.
Salisbury University Places Three Golfers in the Top 15
Stella Jaffe shot an 82 in the final round and finished third individually at 21-over 165. Sydney Lynott also posted an 82 and placed fourth at 25-over 169.
Ava Kelly shot 21-over 93 in the final round but was disqualified from the first round because of a scorecard discrepancy. She did not place individually. Caroline Fitzgerald carded a 27-over 99 in the final round and finished 15th at 61-over 205.
Next Event: Colonial Women’s Golf Conference Championship
Salisbury is scheduled to compete in the second annual Colonial Women’s Golf Conference Championship from October 26-27 at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, New Jersey. The championship is a two-day, seven-team tournament.
