Howard Community College women’s volleyball defeated Patrick Henry College, 3-0, on Oct. 15 in Columbia, Maryland, to conclude its 2026 home schedule. The Dragons won by set scores of 25-6, 25-2, and 25-14 for their 13th victory of the season.
Zyon Austin led Howard Community College with 12 kills and seven digs. Emma Nguyen added three kills, nine aces, and six digs, while the team recorded 14 aces.
Howard Controls First Two Sets
Howard held Patrick Henry to one kill in the opening set and none in the second. The Dragons took the first set, 25-6, before extending their lead with a 25-2 victory in the second.
Patrick Henry produced more offense in the third set, but Howard completed the sweep with a 25-14 win. Austin and Diana Feria provided key attacking contributions during the final set.
Team Contributions Across the Court
Feria finished with nine kills, four blocks, and four digs. Toriana Curry added five kills and five blocks, while Amelia Thomas recorded four kills and four blocks.
Cailyn Harvey led the team with eight digs and two aces. Abigail Nirola scored 18 assists and five digs, while Vivian Gonzalez contributed 11 assists and three digs.
Howard Scheduled to Face Garrett College
Howard was scheduled to face Garrett College on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. The match was listed as the team’s final tri-match of the season.
