Hood College men’s swim team finished first against Goucher College on Oct. 10, 2026, in Baltimore, Md., as senior James Martines-Solis won two individual events. Martines-Solis won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:13.51 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.91.
Jake Hauff also won two events for Hood College. Hauff took first in the 200 individual medley in 2:10.35 and the 100-yard butterfly in 55.49.
Multiple Top Finishes Highlight Hood College Performance
Noah Marsh placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:54.54 and the 500-yard freestyle in 7:59.59. Andrew Pyfrin competed in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:28.01, and the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 2:54.83.
First-year Graham Cullen placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:13.48. Zander Kirchner placed third in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.56.
Hood College recorded times of 1:57.80 in the 200 medley relay and 1:49.43 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. These performances contributed to Hood College’s first-place finish against Goucher College.
Hood College to Return Home for Senior Day on Oct. 17
Hood College is scheduled to return home to Huntsinger Aquatic Center on Saturday, Oct. 17, to honor the seniors of the program. Additional meet details were not provided.
