Stevenson University Women’s Volleyball Splits Battle of the SU’s Tri-Match With Salisbury and Susquehanna

Stevenson University women’s volleyball split its Battle of the SU’s tri-match Oct. 10, 2026, at Owings Mills Gymnasium in Owings Mills, Maryland. The Mustangs lost to Salisbury University, 3-1, before defeating Susquehanna University, 3-0. The split left Stevenson with a 10-9 overall record and a 3-1 mark in MAC Commonwealth play.

Stevenson Falls to Salisbury University

Salisbury took the opening match by set scores of 25-13, 15-25, 25-14 and 25-9. Stevenson responded after the first-set loss with a 25-15 victory in the second set, but Salisbury claimed the final two sets to secure the 3-1 win.

Rachel Lenz led Stevenson with nine kills, 12 digs and three service aces. Maren Zepfel added eight kills, while Emma Shaffer had five kills and a team-high 25 digs. Lillianna Hornickle contributed three kills and four blocks, and Logan Burge finished with two kills and five blocks.

Courtney Foose recorded 11 assists, and Declyn Tooze added 15 assists. Isabella Terra had 11 digs, with the team finishing with 31 kills, 28 assists, seven service aces and eight blocks.

Stevenson Sweeps Susquehanna University

Stevenson bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Susquehanna, winning sets 27-25, 25-22 and 25-19. The Mustangs edged Susquehanna in a close first set before taking the next two sets to complete the sweep.

Lenz led Stevenson with 10 kills, followed by nine from Zepfel and six from Sydney Salazar. Emily McElwaine recorded two kills and three block assists, while Hornickle added one kill. Tooze directed the offense with 18 assists and one service ace.

Terra recorded 10 digs, and Lilly Eichelberger contributed four digs and two service aces. Stevenson finished with 31 kills, eight blocks and eight service aces in the match.

Next Match

Stevenson returns to action Oct. 15, 2026, at Shenandoah University for a non-conference match scheduled for 6 p.m.
