McDaniel College women’s field hockey lost 1-0 to Bryn Mawr on Oct. 10, 2026, at Shillingford Field in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Carrie Povich scored the game’s lone goal with less than four minutes remaining in the first half, and Julia Ward assisted on the play.
Bryn Mawr Scores Late in the First Half
Bryn Mawr entered the game with a 9-3 overall record and a 3-2 Centennial Conference record. McDaniel College entered at 3-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Povich’s goal was her fourth of the season. Bryn Mawr outshot McDaniel College 6-1 in the second quarter and finished with a 22-7 advantage in shots, while the Owls held a 10-1 edge in shots on goal.
Teaghen Rieder Makes Nine Saves
McDaniel College goalkeeper Teaghen Rieder made nine saves, including seven in the second half. Bryn Mawr recorded 15 shots and six penalty corners after halftime.
Rieder has 37 saves in four appearances and three starts this season, along with a .755 save percentage. Junior Charley Noah recorded four of McDaniel College’s seven shots and produced the team’s lone shot on goal in the third quarter.
The loss was McDaniel College’s sixth one-goal decision of the season. The Green Terror are 2-4 in those games.

McDaniel College was scheduled to host No. 8 Johns Hopkins on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Green Terror were also scheduled to host No. 21 Swarthmore at Gill Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17.
