St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women’s Soccer Team Defeats Wilson College 6-0 as Jill Kemp Records Three Assists

St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s soccer team defeated Wilson College 6-0 Wednesday afternoon at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium in St. Mary’s City, Maryland. St. Mary’s scored three goals in each half and limited Wilson to no shots on goal.

St. Mary’s Builds Halftime Lead

Charlotte Bryan opened the scoring in the ninth minute at 8:52, assisted by Jill Kemp. Addison Campbell doubled the lead with another assist from Kemp, before Oliviah Walton scored at 37:57 to give St. Mary’s a 3-0 halftime advantage.

Allie Petryszak scored 53 seconds into the second half on Kemp’s third assist. Alexandra Sarrach then scored the fifth goal, and Mollie Chiarizia completed the scoring in the 90th minute on an assist from Walton.

Kemp Records Three Assists

Kemp finished with three assists. Bryan, Campbell, Petryszak, Sarrach, Walton and Chiarizia each scored once, while Walton added one assist for a two-point game.

St. Mary’s outshot Wilson 48-0 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Wilson goalkeeper Bella Scarlato made 13 saves, while Breanna Brown and Alexa Holmes shared goalkeeping duties for St. Mary’s in the shutout.

The victory improved St. Mary’s to 4-6-3 overall and 3-1-0 in United East Conference play. Wilson fell to 2-10-1 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play.

Upcoming Schedule

St. Mary’s was scheduled to travel to Penn College on Saturday, October 10, for a 2 p.m. United East Conference matchup.
