Hood College women’s field hockey lost 4-0 to No. 29 Messiah University in its Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth opener Wednesday night, Oct. 7, in Grantham, Pa. The loss dropped Hood College to 5-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Allison Wallin made four saves for Hood College, while Madeline Moreno took the Blazers’ only shot. Messiah University led 14-1 in shots and 13-1 in penalty corners.
Messiah University Scores Four Goals
Lexie Zaring opened the scoring for Messiah University. Ellie Lefever, Lindsey Campione and Lyndsey Gustafson also scored in the Falcons’ victory.
Lefever scored once and added an assist, while Campione finished with one goal and two assists. Chelsea Carlisle recorded two assists for Messiah University.
Hood College Field Hockey Looks Ahead
Messiah University improved to 5-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Hood College was scheduled to visit Alvernia University in Reading, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m.
