Salisbury University Sea Gulls Earn Five C2C Honors in Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball and Cross Country

The Salisbury University Sea Gulls earned five Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference honors in men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s cross country and men’s cross country for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4, 2026. Clif Nehman, Elizabeth Gordon, Sophia Blaufuss, Anna Bodmer and Gabe Riling received Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week recognition.

The conference announced the honors Oct. 5. Nehman earned C2C Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career and the second time this season, while Gordon received C2C Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Salisbury University Men’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball Honorees

Nehman recorded two shutouts during the week. He made two saves against ninth-ranked Catholic in a scoreless tie before making five saves in Salisbury University’s 2-0 road win over Mary Washington.

Nehman has not allowed a goal in three starts this season and has made 14 saves across three clean sheets.

Gordon recorded 19 kills while hitting .625 in Salisbury University’s two wins at the C2C Invitational. She had six kills at a .444 hitting percentage against Mary Washington, then recorded 13 kills at a .733 rate against UC Santa Cruz while adding three service aces.

Blaufuss earned C2C Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career and the second time this season. She totaled 42 digs in the two C2C Invitational wins, including 17 against Mary Washington and a career-high 25 against UC Santa Cruz.

Salisbury University Cross Country Honorees

Bodmer received C2C Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the sixth time in her career and the second time this season. She finished second overall at the Don Cathcart Invitational with a time of 21:10.4, broke her own Winter Place Park program record and helped Salisbury University win the team title.

Riling earned C2C Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. He finished fourth at the Don Cathcart Invitational with a personal-best time of 24:53.3, which was three-tenths of a second behind Salisbury University’s best men’s time at Winter Place Park.

Salisbury University’s five C2C selections covered four programs and included three repeat career honorees and two first-time award winners. The recognized performances included two men’s soccer shutouts, efficient offensive and defensive work in women’s volleyball, and record-setting cross country efforts at the Don Cathcart Invitational.
