Ravens Cruise Past Titans, Lose More to Injury

On a rainy, injury-plagued Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium, the Baltimore Ravens survived a second-half surge from the winless Tennessee Titans to hold on for a 24–18 victory. The win moves Baltimore to 3–1 on the season and snaps a four-game home losing skid that stretched back to last year.

Derrick Henry got the scoring started early against his former team, powering through a tackle on a fourth-and-1 play for a 5-yard touchdown run. From there, Lamar Jackson took over in the first half, putting on a clinic despite a heavily penalized Ravens offense. Jackson fit a tight-window 19-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers and followed up a few possessions later with a 3-yard score to Mark Andrews to cap an 8-play, 98-yard drive. Tyler Loop then punctuated the half by drilling a stadium-record 64-yard field goal as time expired, sending Baltimore into the locker room with a comfortable 24–7 lead.

The second half turned into a brutal test of depth for Jesse Minter’s squad as the injury bug bit hard. With the most notable injury being that of Lamar Jackson who did not play a snap in the second half after suffering an ankle injury right before halftime, as backup qurterback Tyler Huntley took over for Jackson for the remainder of the game.

With the offense stalling under Huntley, Minter’s defense had to preserve the lead. The biggest turning point came when defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike stonewalled Titans running back Tony Pollard on a direct snap at the 2-yard line on fourth-and-goal. Safety Kyle Hamilton also added a crucial forced fumble against Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate in the second half to help stall Tennessee’s momentum. Tennessee rookie quarterback Cam Ward rallied the Titans within six points late in the fourth quarter, but Ravens safety Malaki Starks safely recovered an onside kick with under a minute remaining to seal the win.

While the Ravens secure their second straight win, and first at home in 2026. Head coach Jesse Minter will still have a lot to address this week. Most notably cleaning up 13 penalties for 131 yards and monitoring the health of Jackson and his fellow starters as Baltimore gets set for a Sunday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons next week.
