Howard Community College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Post Six Personal Bests at Don Cathcart Invitational

Howard Community College men’s and women’s cross country teams posted six personal bests at the Don Cathcart Invitational in Salisbury, Maryland, while both teams finished among the top 10 competing programs. The meet marked the end of Howard Community College’s regular season.

Savannah Wilson led the women’s team in the 6-kilometer race by finishing 49th overall in a personal-best time of 27:04.8. Samuel Venegas led the men’s team in the 8-kilometer race, placing 42nd overall with a personal-best time of 28:12.9.

Howard Community College Cross Country Results

Katy Spence finished second for Howard Community College in the women’s race with a time of 37:16.9. Nyla Mathew recorded a personal-best time of 37:00.4, while Cynthia Crump also set a personal best at 41:36.6. Jahyra Jackson completed the women’s results in 42:41.0.

Nico Salvia finished just outside the men’s top 50 with a personal-best time of 30:08.9. Gabriel Kondeh followed with a personal-best time of 35:22.3, and Samuel Chukwuma finished in 37:39.9.

Next Meet

Howard Community College will compete in the NJCAA Region 20 Regional Meet on Halloween. The Don Cathcart Invitational included four-year competition and several Region 20 opponents.
