Johns Hopkins University Men’s Football fell to Dickinson 35-21 on October 2, 2026, at Biddle Field in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, after surrendering 28 unanswered points in the second half. Johns Hopkins led 21-7 at halftime, but Dickinson scored all 28 of its second-half points in the third quarter to improve to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Centennial Conference.
The loss dropped Johns Hopkins to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Centennial Conference. Luke Baker led Johns Hopkins with 259 passing yards, 53 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Johns Hopkins Builds Halftime Lead
Dickinson opened the scoring before Baker answered with a 30-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7. Baker later capped a 19-play, 99-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run, and Cooper Powell added a 12-yard rushing touchdown after a 94-yard drive to give Johns Hopkins a 21-7 halftime lead.
Jaeger Krauss caught nine passes for a career-best 157 yards. His 30-yard reception helped set up Baker’s second touchdown, while a 63-yard catch preceded Powell’s score.
Dickinson Scores 28 Points in Third Quarter
Juan Pablo Garcia intercepted Baker inside Johns Hopkins territory on the opening drive of the second half. Dane Sorenson followed with a five-yard touchdown run to cut the deficit to 21-14, and Dickinson recovered an onside kick at the Johns Hopkins 40-yard line.
Jake Williams tied the game with a five-yard touchdown run six plays later. Sorenson then scored on a six-yard run after Dickinson recovered a strip sack at the Johns Hopkins 13-yard line, and Ben Klassen completed the third-quarter scoring with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Frederik Fjeldseth on the final play of the period.
Neither team scored in the fourth quarter, leaving Dickinson with a 35-21 victory. The Red Devils finished the game with 28 consecutive points after halftime.
Luke Baker Leads Johns Hopkins
Baker completed 22 of 39 passes for 259 yards and threw two interceptions. He also rushed for 53 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 30 yards and two yards.
Will Seibert led the Johns Hopkins defense with nine tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Dickinson’s Joaquin Acuna recorded eight tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, while Ellington Roane and Marco Kaufman also recorded eight tackles each.
Klassen completed 23 of 29 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns for Dickinson. Sorenson led the Red Devils with 122 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
