Coppin State University Women’s Bowling Opens 2026-27 Season With 2-0 Win Over Morgan State

Coppin State University women’s bowling opened its 2026-27 season with a 2-0 victory over Morgan State in the inaugural 410 Clash on the Lanes at AMF Woodlawn Lanes. Coppin State won the traditional match 852-787 and swept all five Baker games. Abigail Brockington led the Eagles with a 200 in traditional play.

Coppin State University defeated Morgan State 852-787 in traditional play. Brockington paced Coppin State with a score of 200, followed by Shakyia Johnson with 173 and Victoria Davis with 167. Antonnise Codner added 157, while Gabriella Powell rounded out the traditional lineup with 155. Layla Holtzapple also saw action as a substitute.

Coppin State Sweeps Five Baker Games

Coppin State University won all five Baker games and totaled 844 points, while Morgan State finished with 701. The Eagles opened with a 177-128 victory and followed with wins of 157-114 and 211-167. Coppin State edged Morgan State 121-120 in the fourth game before closing the format with a 178-172 victory.

The Eagles will return to competition Oct. 10-11 at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Chestnut Hill at Bowlero Deptford in Deptford, New Jersey.
