Stevenson University Men’s Soccer Defeats Goucher 2-0 Behind Goals From Kameron Ross and Jackson Robinson

Stevenson University men’s soccer defeated Goucher 2-0 on Sept. 30 at Beldon Field in Baltimore, Maryland. The victory improved Stevenson to 6-1-2, while Goucher dropped to 3-5-2.

Kameron Ross opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 47th minute. Jackson Robinson added a goal in the 72nd minute, and Andrew Sindicic made two saves to complete Stevenson’s second shutout victory of the season.

Strong Offensive Pressure Leads to Breakthrough

Stevenson controlled the offensive pressure during the opening half and outshot Goucher 10-1. Ross recorded the Mustangs’ first opportunity in the ninth minute, followed by shots on goal from Gaston Magrinat-Valdes and Michael Bosley. Stevenson nearly broke through in the 27th minute when Blest Dumbuya’s attempt struck the post. Bobby Brand added another shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the teams entered halftime scoreless.

Second-Half Goals Secure the Win

Ross gave Stevenson the lead shortly after halftime by converting a penalty kick in the 47th minute. He finished with four shots and one goal. Goucher created an opportunity to equalize in the 63rd minute, but Sindicic made his first save of the match. Stevenson responded in the 72nd minute when Robinson scored to extend the lead to 2-0.

Sindicic made another save in the 83rd minute as Stevenson protected the advantage. He finished with two saves and a complete-game clean sheet. Stevenson finished with a 16-7 advantage in shots and held a 6-2 edge in shots on goal. The Mustangs also recorded three corner kicks.

Upcoming MAC Commonwealth Play

Stevenson University men’s soccer will open conference play at Messiah University on Oct. 3, 2026. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m.
