Stevenson University Mustangs senior goalkeeper Jordan Vradenburgh earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Defensive Honorable Mention recognition after the women’s field hockey team went 2-0 the previous week. The NFHCA announced its players of the week Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Vradenburgh delivers against ranked opponents
Vradenburgh made 10 saves and allowed one goal across Stevenson’s wins over then-No. 2 Salisbury and then-No. 14 Stevens. The senior from Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, made eight saves against Salisbury and recorded a shutout against Stevens.
Vradenburgh also earned MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week honors. Her NFHCA recognition came in the defensive category after the Mustangs’ two-win week.
Stevenson University Mustangs field hockey schedule
Stevenson University field hockey was scheduled to face St. Mary’s College of Maryland on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. The Mustangs were also scheduled to face Alvernia University on Oct. 3 at noon and Widener University on Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.
The remaining listed schedule included a visit to York College of Pennsylvania on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m., a matchup with Messiah University on Oct. 17 at noon and a road game at Neumann University on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. Stevenson was then scheduled to play at Albright College on Oct. 24 at 11 a.m., face Hood College on Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. and visit Eastern University on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m.
