Southern Maryland Blue Crabs Baseball: Brody Fahr was named to the 2026 Drake All-Defensive Team as the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball recipient at second base, the league announced Sept. 29, 2026. Fahr posted the best fielding percentage among primary second basemen who played at least 81 games.
Fahr played 101 games overall and recorded a .983 fielding percentage. He also was part of 62 double plays, the second-most among non-first basemen.
Brody Fahr’s 2026 Season
Fahr played second base every day to begin the 2026 season before seeing time at shortstop during the second half. He also contributed offensively, batting .290 with seven home runs, 23 doubles and 62 RBIs.
The 2026 season was Fahr’s third professional season. His performance earned him the second-base spot on the Atlantic League’s 2026 Drake All-Defensive Team.
Fahr’s Professional Background
Fahr spent the 2025 season with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association. He primarily played second base while also seeing time at third base and shortstop, and he finished the season with a .990 fielding percentage.
Fahr played both the amateur and professional portions of the 2024 MLB Draft League season with the Frederick Keys. He continued to provide infield versatility for the Blue Crabs during the 2026 season.
