Mount St. Mary’s University men’s soccer received two Metro Conference honors on Sept. 28, 2026. Christian Kyriacou was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Ryan Collins earned Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
Kyriacou earns offensive honor after brace
Kyriacou recorded his first collegiate brace in Mount St. Mary’s 4-0 victory over Iona on Sept. 26 in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He scored the first and fourth goals of the match, giving him three goals and seven points this season.
Kyriacou is tied with Daniel Morales Silva for the team lead in goals. His seven points also place him alongside Lincoln Bauer atop the Mount St. Mary’s team leaderboard.
Collins delivers clean sheet against Iona
Collins recorded a clean sheet in the victory over Iona. The Gaels had two shots on goal, and Collins denied both attempts.
Collins has 21 saves this season. Mount St. Mary’s is in first place in the Metro Conference after opening league play with a 2-0 record.
The program also recorded back-to-back games with four goals for the first time since 1994. Mount St. Mary’s was scheduled to travel to Canisius on Sept. 30 for a 3 p.m. kickoff in Buffalo.
