Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators teams will continue United East Conference competition with women’s soccer, men’s soccer and women’s volleyball events scheduled from Tuesday, Sept. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. Nick Rackley, the university’s director of athletic communications, announced the weekly athletics update on Sept. 28.
Women’s soccer will host Cedar Crest at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs, while men’s soccer will play at Gallaudet at 5 p.m. Women’s volleyball will host Cairn at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the MBK Sports Complex before competing in the Lancaster Bible Tri-Match on Saturday.
Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators Women’s Soccer
Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s soccer will face Cedar Crest after a nonconference loss to Saint Vincent and a United East opener at Penn State Harrisburg. Leah Hasberry broke Notre Dame of Maryland’s career saves record with her 457th career save against Saint Vincent. The senior ranked second in the conference with 8.13 saves per game.
Alex Busick leads the Gators with four goals. Taylor Edwards has two goals and one assist, while rookie Ava Tippett has two goals.
Cedar Crest entered the week with a 2-5 record after a 7-0 loss to Penn State Berks in its United East opener. Camille Chambers and Sophie DeVito each had four goals, while Amiyah Carroll had three goals and four assists.
Notre Dame of Maryland was 6-9 all-time against Cedar Crest and was seeking its first win in the series since 2015. Cedar Crest had won the previous eight meetings.
Men’s Soccer Visits Gallaudet
Notre Dame of Maryland University men’s soccer entered the week with a 1-3-2 record after losing its United East opener to reigning conference champion Penn State Harrisburg, 4-1. Tassilo Lehmkuhl scored Notre Dame of Maryland’s goal, assisted by Nadim Ismaeel.
Gallaudet entered the week with a 0-7 record and had been outscored 63-3. Notre Dame of Maryland was 3-0 all-time against Gallaudet and had outscored the Bison 26-2 in the series.
Women’s Volleyball Faces Three Opponents
Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s volleyball will host Cairn at 7 p.m. Wednesday before playing Lancaster Bible and Arcadia at the Lancaster Bible Tri-Match on Saturday. The tri-match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., with the Gators facing Lancaster Bible in a United East match before meeting Arcadia in a nonconference match.
The Gators went 2-2 the previous week, defeating Goucher and Wilson at home while losing to Stevenson and Christopher Newport. Notre Dame of Maryland entered the week with a 6-7 record and a 1-0 conference record.
Kaliyah Brown ranked fourth in the conference in kills per set, while Bryanna Carter ranked fifth in that category and eighth in attack percentage. Oliviya Rodriguez ranked third in assists, and Izzy Stewart ranked seventh in digs and ninth in aces.
Cairn entered the week with an 8-4 record after a five-set loss to St. Mary’s in its conference opener. Marah Lehman led Cairn with 4.67 kills per set and had set the program record for kills in a single match with 33 the previous Saturday. Notre Dame of Maryland was 11-6 all-time against Cairn, which won the previous season’s meeting in four sets.
Lancaster Bible entered the week with a 4-5 record after sweeping Penn College in its conference opener and was 3-2 at home. Lancaster Bible swept Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore during the teams’ first meeting the previous season.
Arcadia entered the week with a 10-4 record after losses to Eastern and Mount Union. Arcadia also swept defending United East champion Gallaudet the previous week, posted a .214 team hitting percentage and held opponents to a .148 attack percentage. Arcadia won the teams’ only previous meeting in 2021.
