Stevenson University Women’s Golf placed third in the team standings at the Cardinal Fall Classic in Hagerstown, Maryland, on Sunday. Alexis Marsh led the team by matching her career-low score with a 75 (+3) and finishing fifth overall at +16.
Marsh recorded her seventh career top-five finish. Sydni Sundstrom also shot a 75, establishing a career low, and finished seventh in the tournament for her third career top-10 finish.
Stevenson University Women’s Golf Improves by 31 Strokes
Stevenson improved its opening-round team score by 31 strokes and finished the second round at +29. The improvement moved the team into third place in the standings.
Olivia O’Connor finished tied for 12th at +12 after improving her opening-round score by two strokes. Nisachon Sillence finished at +14 after improving by three strokes from the opening round.
Carissa Dargenio finished tied for 20th after shooting 85 (+13) in the second round, six strokes better than her first-round score. Another player, Dias, also finished tied for 20th after improving by 10 strokes from the opening round, while Isabella Ventura finished at +36.
Cardinal Fall Classic Results
Gina Milazzo of SUNY Cortland won the tournament at +12, and SUNY Cortland captured the team title at +70.
Stevenson University will host the Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 28.
