Johns Hopkins University Athletics coaches Peter Milliman, Dan Wodicka and Tim McCormack will discuss championship culture during “Building Winning Teams: Championship Culture,” a Hopkins at Home event presented as a virtual livestream on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The discussion will address how coaches establish expectations, create buy-in, balance individual excellence with team goals, develop leadership and maintain team culture through success and adversity. The event is part of a four-part Hopkins at Home series featuring head coaches from across Johns Hopkins University Athletics.

Peter Milliman is the Alexander Kuehl ’66 Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse at Johns Hopkins. Named the 23rd head coach in program history in 2020, Milliman has led Johns Hopkins to back-to-back NCAA Quarterfinal appearances and Big Ten regular-season titles in 2023 and 2024. Johns Hopkins finished both seasons ranked fifth nationally, and Milliman was named Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2024.
Milliman also guided Johns Hopkins to a share of the 2026 Big Ten regular-season title, an appearance in the Big Ten title game and the NCAA Quarterfinals. He was named Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second time in three years after the 2026 season.
Dan Wodicka is the James F. Margraff Head Coach of Football at Johns Hopkins. A 2014 Johns Hopkins graduate and former Blue Jays wide receiver, Wodicka became head coach in 2024 and guided Johns Hopkins to a 24-4 record, two NCAA Semifinal appearances and a Centennial Conference championship during his first two seasons.
Wodicka was named the AFCA Division III Region 2 Coach of the Year after the 2025 season. During his playing career at Johns Hopkins, he recorded 260 receptions for 3,148 yards and earned three All-Centennial selections and two D3football.com All-South honors.
Tim McCormack became the fourth head coach in Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse history in 2022. He has led Johns Hopkins to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including three straight Sweet 16 trips and the program’s first NCAA Division I semifinal appearance in 2026.
Johns Hopkins set a school record with 17 wins in 2026 and established program records for points, goals, assists and caused turnovers. Before joining Johns Hopkins, McCormack served as Arizona State’s head coach and earned Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors twice.

“Building Winning Teams: Championship Culture” is organized by the Johns Hopkins Office of Alumni Relations and Lifelong Learning. The virtual livestream event is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. EDT.
