The No. 11 Stevenson University women’s field hockey team defeated No. 2 Salisbury, 4-1, on Sept. 23, 2026, at Mustang Stadium in Owings Mills, Md. Stevenson improved to 7-0 with the victory, which marked the first time in program history the team defeated Salisbury.
Stevenson Takes Control After Halftime
Coco Wallace opened the scoring at the 10:00 mark with an assist from Gracyn Catalano. Salisbury tied the game at 1-1 at 15:47 when Tessa Gray scored with an assist from Layla Kent.
Catalano restored Stevenson’s lead with an unassisted goal at 32:40. Lauren Schulz extended the advantage in the 50th minute with an assist from Hailey Mertz, and Lainey Rogers added the final goal three minutes later on an assist from Wallace.
Catalano and Wallace recorded three points each, while Schulz and Rogers contributed two points apiece. Jordan Vradenburgh made eight saves for Stevenson.
Salisbury Outshoots Stevenson Despite Loss
Salisbury outshot Stevenson 17-12 and held a 9-7 advantage in shots on goal. Stevenson had five penalty corner opportunities compared to Salisbury’s three.
Next Game for Stevenson Women’s Field Hockey
Stevenson is scheduled to travel to No. 14 Stevens on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, for a noon contest. The game will be Stevenson’s next opportunity to build on its 7-0 start.
